Sinopsis
A Princess of Mars is an Edgar Rice Burroughs science fiction novel, the first of his famous Barsoom series. It is also Burroughs' first novel, predating his Tarzan stories. Full of swordplay and daring feats, the story is considered a classic example of 20th century pulp fiction. It is a seminal example of the planetary romance genre, which became highly popular in the decades to follow, and also has some elements of Westerns.

If your looking for a book that is so well written, with a story that excites and grips you to keep reading more. Than this is your book! Normally I am not interested space sci-fi adventures; but this is not that. Its more like the movie stargate, but way better. It's hard to believe this was written in 1912! After reading this book I have come to the conclusion that Edgar Rice Burroughs has to be one of the best writers ever created. The same author who brought us Tarzan. Which i have never read. In fact, even though Tarzan has been a popular part of our entertainment and movie culture. It never moved me enough to want to read the book. Llittle did I know it was created by the same author who fabricated the masterpice that is "A Princess of Mars". Now knowing how wonderfully written it is, and how much I love Burrough's writing style? It has moved me to want to try reading Tarzan and more. Whether or not you like fiction, this is one book that should not be missed. I was first interested in reading this after watching the movie "John Carter" which is based on this and the series of books That followed after. I'm so glad I did.
