13 3/4" x 10 1/4" yearbook of Princeton University faculty, student body and sports teams, during the year 1910. Printed inside the front cover is, "Published by B. F. McManus, Photographer, New York." Harold E. Gill, whose name is printed on the cover, was a member of the crew team.
Seven leaves are used for the headshots of the 250 students (many of whom became men of letters, mathematicians, or coaches on their respective fields). Most, except for the last 18, provide the signature of the student. After the headshots are group photographs. Two of the entire class, and then several of various clubs, including sports teams including football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, soccer, fencing, hockey, and crew.
This was the final year Woodrow Wilson served as the President of University in New Jersey, before being elected President of the United States a few years later. His photo is included on the first page.
A notable alumnus of Princeton's 1910 class, was James W. Alexander II. According to Britannica, Alexander was a founding member of the branch of mathematics formerly known as analysis situs, now "topology".
Fred Dawson became a coach at Union College and Columbia. After retirement from coaching, he became a psychologist and public speaker.
Walter Scott Hastings, a man of letters studied Balzac, and later became a professor at his alma mater.
On the last couple of pages, there are photographs of the architecture around campus.
Condition: Edge wear at corners of covers, including spine. Certain photographs are silvering at the edges. Clothe binding. One loose photograph placed in the beginning of the album. Otherwise in great condition.
