Sobre este artículo
Omaha, Nebraska: the author, 1919. Ephemera. 7p., 8.5x11 inch sheets, apparently blue carbon copies of typed pages; signed on the last page. A duplicate from the archive of Olerich's friend, the anarchist Cassius V. Cook. Olerich states, "This is a brief synopsis of a chapter of my typewritten and artistically bound volumes of my "Philosophic History of the World-War," which I have just completed for publication. I treat the aspect of the World-War from the standpoint of the individual, the family, the municipality, the Nation, and the international relations as to the proper Peace Terms, Reconstruction Methods, the League of Nations and the present and probable future upheavals along the lines of social and industrial Evolution; that practically all wars have been Rulers' Wars and that the plain common people who fought the battles and paid the enormous bills have invariably been the dupes and burden-bearers." Argues that "Besides the Reconstruction of International and National character before suggested, there must also be radical improvements in municipal affairs before the city people can hope to enjoy that local Peace and general Prosperity which advancing civilization demands." Olerich's best-known work was the novel "A cityless and countryless world," in which a Martian comes to Earth and describes that planet's utopian society. We are unable to find any holdings of the work "Philosophic History of the World-War," upon which this text is based.
