Inscribed by author on FFEP as follows" Very many thanks, Pip, for your invaluble support and encouragement". Pip is Captain Philip Gardner, VC, M.C., 4th Royal Tank Regiment, who wrote the Forward to this book, and whose bookplate is fixed to front endpaper. 215pp with 14 Chapters, 18 photographs and Index. Made prisoner in the early part of WW2, Palmer met by chance a Nazi general who claimed, in 1940, to have been appointed Gauliter for Sussex.An interesting association item. Condition VG . Very Good. Hardback. First Edition. 1990.
