Sobre este artículo

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1961 WYSIWYG pricing--no added shipping charge for standard shipping within USA. Edited by Eberhard Bethge and translated by Reginald H. Fuller. Published in England as Letters and Papers from Prison. Orange cloth, foil titles, 190 pp, index of Biblical references. Moderate wear to corners and spine ends, top edge foxed, faintly musty, two leaves dog-eared, occasional light underlining and marginalia in pencil, one word in pen and a paragraph in pencil on recto of front free endpaper. DJ has a few chips and tears along top edge (largest chip 1 cm, tear 3 cm), rear flap creased; in Brodart archival cover. From the DJ: "On April 5, 1943, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor and teacher, was arrested by the Gestapo and thrown into prison; on April 9, 1945, he was executed. This book is a collection of the letters, essays and poems he wrote while in confinement. Addressed to his parents and to a friend, they form an extraordinary picture of a sensitive man whose faith and dedication to service never wavered, whose spiritual depth enabled him to overcome the most trying of circumstances. ... Resisting ease and compromise, he continued his ministering to the other prisoners, his firm resistance to what he knew was wrong, and his brilliant study in theology and ethics until his death." Shipping weight 1 lb.. 6th ptg. . Very Good/Very Good. 21½ X 14½ cm.
