Sobre este artículo
New York: Hall and Company, 1880. [Alexander] Wilford Hall (1819-1902) was a Christian Evangelist and critic of the Theory of Evolution. He was quite successful, publishing almost twenty books; he is also known for some medical quackery. First published in 1877; this is a Very Good copy of the "Revised Edition" from three years later. The Thirty-Ninth Thousand. Brown decorative cloth binding, with stamping on the front cover in black. Titling and decoration on the spine in black and gilt. Clean text; ix, continues from page 13 to 524, with four pages of publisher adverts and Opinions of the Press in the rear. Frontis portraits of the named scientists. Bumped corners, a bit of rub to head and foot of the spine; small spot of discoloration on the lower front cover. An historical piece and perhaps still interesting today, when many conservative religions harbor negativity towards Darwin's great breakthrough. A sold copy.. First Thus. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
