Blunck and A. W. Ross. First published in German in 1890. A few pages in the first chapter "Thinkers in the Classical World" with scattered underlining in very light blue pencil. Ink note on the edition at top of front paste down. Rudolf Christoph Eucken (1846 1926) was a German philosopher who received the 1908 Nobel Prize in Literature "in recognition of his earnest search for truth, his penetrating power of thought, his wide range of vision, and the warmth and strength in presentation with which in his numerous works he has vindicated and developed an idealistic philosophy of life".
