From the preface to this book, written by Eng. Dante Ferrari: A few words of preface to these notes collected with so much care and love by Eng. Gustavo Colonnetti, who during the war uninterruptedly lent his work as a scholar and a skilful technician in the Workshops of this Society, realizing a first and effective experiment of true and proper collaboration between Science and Industry such as I have always sought, and such as I wish for the future for the progress of our industries and for the good of our country. And these few words will give reason for the dedication of this scientific work, which the well-known modesty of the young but already distinguished professor wanted to baptize as simple notes.

CONDITION:
This book was Rebinded in the 1970's, by hard binding in black percaline and gilt lettering, maintaining the original book cover as well as all of its interior contents. It contains a large number of technical drawings, plans, and full page sepia photos, protected by onion paper sheets. At the end there are several fold-out plans as well as an inset plan. The overall condition of the book is excellent, printed on sturdy, quality thick paper. This is a really difficult book to obtain nowadays and this copy is in perfect condition considering the year of publication.
