Apparently arranged in sections outlining uses for each of Jayne's various medicines, just as in his American almanacs. Unclear whether this was printed in the US for the immigrant market (as suggested by the Connecticut general store ad on the back wrap ) or for the Asian market, where Jayne's medicines were available and used by missionaries. The American almanacs often contain testimonies from missionaries in Asia, and an edition in Burmese was printed in Rangoon at the American Mission Press in 1864.
