First edition. Cross and Ravenscroft-Hulme B.29 *The editors were Frederick Page, Viola Meynell (Alice's daughter), Olivia Sowerby and Francis Meynell (Alice's son, and the proprietor of the Nonesuch Press). poetry of Alice Meynell (1847-1922) was for a time so popular that she was twice mentioned as a possible Poet Laureate (after the deaths of Tennyson and Alfred Austin).
