London: Collins. Good+ in Very Good dust jacket. 1967. First Edition. Hardcover. Book has a few pages with pencil underlining and notes in margins. Hinges are tight; however, book does open flat to several pages, has gift notation on front flyleaf. Corners and spine are bumped and shelf worn. Dust jacket is in mylar cover, it has shelf wear on corners and spine and is soiled on the back. Book depicts "...an evolving society from the time when England had still to become a nation to the day when, already highly urbanised, she stood on the threshold of the social revolution through which she is still passing." .
