The Office, Fleet Street, London, 1858. Hardcover. Acceptable. Red half leather, red boards, gilt titles and decoration. Leather worn, a bit grubby. Gilt bright. Binding sound. Marbled paper endsheets. 1-in closed tear to top margin of FFEP. Large dampstain to top of gutter at first and last few pages, with moderate foxing to those pages. Bookplate at front paste down. Pages toned, with sparse marginal writing in pencil mostly near the end, text otherwise unmarked.

Punch, 1920. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Complete. A binder of copies of 'Punch' for the last six months of 1920. Half-leather and board covers. In clubbable and benign condition. The leather spine and corners are genial, worn. The boards are scuffed and sound. Within, a label indicates previous ownership by the King William's Town Club. Two issues of one of England's most famous magazines, which began publication in 1841 and ran continuously until 2002, with a four-year hiatus from 1992 until 1996. General wear to both, w/foxing to covers of the 1931 issue, and a price notation in ink to the top of the 1956 issue, presumably by some idiot who didn't know how to properly use a pencil..

The Office, Fleet Street, 1854. Hardcover. Acceptable. January - June, 1854. Bound together in brown cloth with gilt spine titles, decorative borders stamped in blind at both panels, at front panel surrounding a gilt Punch. Cloth rubbed, bumped to corners, frayed to edges, split to rear outer hinge and repaired with tape. Binding beneath the split in the cloth of the rear outer hinge is intact; binding is sound through textblock. FFEP and title page torn away; volume begins with the preface. Dampstaining to bottom margin of first and last few pages. Scarring / sticker ghost at front paste down, where it looks like a bookplate has been scraped off. Pages toned, with occasional edgewear including chipping and closed tears at margins. Text free of previous owner markings.

Volumes 70 and 71 bound together, encompassing all of 1876; title page for volume 71 appears to be missing, but pagination begins again at '1' in July, and the footer does switch from LXX to LXXI at that point. Black half leather, black cloth, gilt titles and decoration. Leather shows heavy edgewear, scuffing and cracking. Light general staining to cloth, with large white stain to front panel. Binding cracked at inner hinges, shaken through text; intact. Early bookseller's ticket at front paste down. Foxed throughout, with two illustrations painted in by a previous owner. Text otherwise unmarked, with no previous owners' notes or underlining.
