Bononiae: Thebaldinum. [Fig. Storia naturale] (cm.35,7) Bella piena pergamena recente con unghie. Nervi al dorso, tassello in pelle e oro. -cc.4nn.(bianca la prima), pp.495, cc.14nn. Bellissimo frontis architettonico figurato inciso in rame da G.B. Coriolano. All'interno molte figure xilografiche di quadrupedi, animali strani, mostri, centauri ecc. Opera importante che contiene tutto il sapere naturalistico del rinascimento e che costituisce il massimo tentativo di descrizione da Aristotele ai nostri tempi. L'autore (1522-1605) fu grande collezionista di materiale naturalistico, appunto per l'esigenza di vedere e toccare ogni cosa da lui descritta. Prima carta bianca rimontata, insignificante lieve alone al margine bianco di una decina di carte all'inizio, altrimenti esemplare bellissimo, fresco e nitido, con le xilografie in ottima tiratura. -CERESOLI 42; -KRIVATSY 184; -GRAESSE I 65; -CATALOGO RAPPAPORT N°46/1255 -AUTORI ITALIANI DEL '600 1696 -MORANTI "Seicentine di Urbino" N°94 Manca a Brunet e a BM.STC.
