Comprehensive early fire insurance company history generously illustrated with black and white plates. Cadet blue cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, top edge gilt, 164 pages. Covers have some rubbing to the extremities, shelf soil and some spotting, mainly to the lower portion of the front cover, good hinges, firm text block, light finger soil and minor foxing to endpapers and preliminary blanks, pages very clean and free from names or other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair/No. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
