Volume one complete, 4to in later red cloth, gilt lettering to spine. Contains main title leaf, contents leaf, all nine quartets with own title-page and paginated separately. The printing, from engraved plates, is very sharp throughout, suggesting this is a first or very early printing (engraved plates wore down with use and later printings would become noticeably fuzzy) __CONDITION : A well preserved FINE clean and tight copy (page-block edges a little tanned, 4 leaves only affected by very mild foxing). A nice copy. __NOTE. Depending on destination, this item may require an extra payment for shipping insurance.
