London: Heinemann, 1955. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition, First Printing. Publisher's prussian-blue boards with gilt lettering to the spine. A bright and clean VG++ copy with just a hint of foxing to the fore-edge. The D/W is also in VG++ condition with mild toning to the spine (much less than normally encountered). At the base of the spine is a short, closed tear and a small, insignificant chip. WITH THE SCARCE BOOK SOCIETY CHOICE & DAILY MAIL BOOK OF THE MONTH RED WRAP-AROUND BAND. The band is in near fine condition with NO FADING TO THE SPINE PORTION. This copy looks most attractive in its Brodart protector. Photographs/scans available upon request.
Sinopsis
Graham Greene (1904–1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the foreign office. His many books include The Third Man , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
