Based on lectures given at the University of Durham as part of the Jacobson Lectureship in Jewish Studies and the Institute of Jewish Studies in Manchester on the beliefs of the Dead Sea Sect of Qumran. Covers such topics as private property, views on the opposition, and halakhah (Jewish Law). In the final chapter the author makes the case that the Dead Sea Sect survived until the coming of Islam in the 7th century. Head and tail of spine slightly worn. Several pages in the back slightly dog-eared. Minor shelf wear to dj. Overall in very good condition.
