A collection of illustrated children's song from Randolph Caldecott, with illustrations printed by Edmund Evans. Dated from the National Trust Libraries. Illustrated with sixty full-page colour plates, and many black-and-white images. Containing: The Diverting History of John Gilpin, The House That Jack Built, An Elegy on the Death of a Mad Dog, The Babes in the Wood, The Three Jovial Huntsmen, Sing a Song for Sixpence, The Queen of Hearts, and The Farmer's Boy. Collected and illustrated by Randolph Caldecott, a British artist and illustrator. Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans, an English wood-engraver and colour printer of the Victorian era. In the original pictorial brown cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping resulting in light loss to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. A 4" split to the cloth at the front joint and a 2" split to the cloth at the rear joint. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Age toning to the endpapers. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
