Sobre este artículo
George Routledge & Sons, Limited, London, No date. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Illustrated). Fair Condition. Illustrator: Randolph Caldecott. The text is illustrated with numerous brown coloured line drawings and coloured plates by Randolph Caldecott; who, also drew the illustration of four the front cover. Gilt to all text edges. Orange and brown coloured titles to the front panel. A small book with the drawings of the illustrator Randolph Caldecott to various pieces of poetry by various people. There is no easily discernible publication date, but probably early twentiet century. . I have a suspicion that the book has been sympathetically rebound â inasmuch as the front and rear covers are quite chipped, rubbed and marked. They have been placed upon a brown coloured cloth background; and I think the end pages have been salvaged as well. Rubbing with some Chipping of the book's edges â the underlying board is visible to the book corners and the last 2 inches of the lower edge of the front panel. As mentioned before the book shows quite nasty rubs and a few marks. The guilt of the top edge has rubbed in certain places. Surprisingly, though the pages themselves are in good condition and the reproductions of the coloured plates are crisp and clean. The title page is somewhat foxed. Previous owners' details to the top right hand corner of the title page. Size: 12 mo (Small Hardcover). Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Randolph Caldecott. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Art & Design; Britain/UK; 19th century; Inventory No: 50088. .
