Caldecott's Second Collection of Pictures and Songs contains The Milkmaid, Hey Diddle Diddle, and Baby Bunting, The Fox jumps over the Parson's Gate, A Frog he Would a-Wooing Go, Come Lasses and Lads and others. Randolph Caldecott was a British artist and illustrator who largely did book illustrations. This volume is illustrated with beautiful in text drawings, as well as with full plates in colour. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Externally, smart wiht some marks to the boards and some fading to the spine. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine also. Previous owner pencil inscription to front pastedown. Front hinge is starting but remains firm. Internally, generally firmly bound with bright pages with some scattered spots concentrated to the first and last few pages. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
