Boston: [R & J Gilchrist], 1890. Ephemera. Very Good. 10.5 cm x 7 cm chromolithographed volvelle trade card advertising R & J Gilchrist's dry goods store in Boston. Metallic gold background with illustration of a woman, one side of her face showing youth, the other old age. Her paper hat is affixed with a small brass grommet at the center, allowing it to be rotated back and forth between "Bride and Widow." Verso blank with evidence of adhesive. Very light creasing to mechanics, otherwise near fine.
