Sobre este artículo

Oklahoma City: Oklahoma Historical Society. Good. 1936. Softcover. Published quarterly, "The Chronicles of Oklahoma" is the official journal of the Oklahoma Historical Society, and contains scholarly articles relating to Oklahoma history. This issue printed General Richard A. Sneed's "Reminiscences of an Indian Trader" for the first time (pp. 135-155)--it also appears to be the only published version of his account. Sneed was a Confederate General furing the Civil War who evemtially migrated to New Mexico where he was an Indian Agent and was also elected to state offices. Also included is an interesting essay on "The Union Pacific, Southern Branch" by James D. Morrison (pp. 173-188). Two other articles on Indians of Oklahoma: "Contributions of the Indian People in Oklahoma" and "Early Advancement Among the Five Civilized Tribes." There is also an essay by former Gov. Haskell on the early efforts at statehood, Bound in gray printed wrappers with black cover lettering. There is some spotting and a couple small stains to the front cover, else a clean, tight and unmarked book. Ref: The Trans-Mississippi West, p. 60, #855 ; B&W Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; pp. 135 - 260 pages .
