He owned several successful racehorses and his stable was very renowned in its time. Written by John Kent, edited by the Hon. Francis Lawley.Illustrated with frontispiece and twenty-four further plates. Collated, complete.With twenty-four leaves of publisher's advertisements to rear. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with some shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, back strip lightly faded and marked. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to fore edge affecting occasional leaf, particularly first and last few and leaves of plates. Otherwise, pages generally bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
