Original publisher's binding with a leather spine and corners, and marbled paper-covered boards. The extremities are quite rubbed and worn, and of the two original spine labels only a fragment of one that reads "Racing" remains. The text has light finger smudges here and there, and the title page and a few other pages have minor soiling to the edges. The front endpaper is chipped and detached. Previous owner's name is neatly on a front endpaper. First edition..
