Sobre este artículo

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1944. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Frontispiece, with 16 pp. portraits. Second edition. This copy is inscribed by Allen B. DuMont on the front flyleaf: "To Commander Carr, Best wishes for the success of Television in Mexico. Allen B. DuMont." DuMont (1901-65), one of the one hundred innovators profiled in this work, was an American scientist and inventor best known for improvements to the cathode ray tube in 1931 for use in television receivers. Seven years later he manufactured and sold the first commercially practical television set to the public. Original black cloth binding, with gilt titles. The dust jacket is edgeworn, with a one-inch chip to the spine head (affecting the title), and some occasional mild rubbing; otherwise very good. Inscribed by Author.
