Heavy foxing and tanning to pages with endpapers missing and pen inscriptions to half title page. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Heavier foxing and tanning to text block edges. Boards have visible edge wear, ink marks and rubbing. Moderate bumping to corners and fair crushing to spine ends. Noticeable tanning to spine and fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends.
Sinopsis
E. W. Hornung (1866-1921) created Raffles the gentleman burglar, hero of The Amateur Cracksman (1899) and Mr. Justice Raffles (1909) and wrote many other adventure stories published in magazines and in book form. He married Arthur Conan Doyle's sister Constance, traveled widely, and played cricket.
