Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1st edition, 1st printing. x, 206pp plus one leaf of photographic illustrations, illustrated title page. In blue cloth-covered boards with pale green lettering front and spine. Boards very gently rounded at corners, top edge dust toned, perhaps a hint of page toning, else neat, clean and tight throughout. In its original, worn and edge torn dust jacket, faded and shipped at spine ends. The story of three Navy fliers who fought in the sea for 34 days during the second world war, while they drifted in a rubber raft without food and for some time without clothes, to land - weak and bent - on a strange shore.
