Tressell died of tuberculosis in 1911 and it was not until three years later that his book found a publisher. Even then, the edition comprised only two-thirds of the manuscript, and was greatly distorted. Sinopsis

Owen's spirited attacks on the greed and dishonesty of the capitalist system rouse his fellow men from their political quietism.
