Sobre este artículo
London : Whittaker & Co., etc, 1849. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Fair. 16mo, pp.158, plus two pages of reviews of the first edition and 16 pages of advertising to rear, original blind and gilt stamped brick red cloth dirty and rubbed, a paper label to spine with title, cloth lifting to top right corner and frayed to edges, the interior is considerably brighter, there are a few foxing marks and the edges are dust-dulled, the binding is tight. The fold-out map at the front has been deliberately pasted onto itself and the fep as it was obsolete even a year after it was first published, such was the speed of development of the railway. The first edition was published in 1848, indeed there is an erroneous inked addition to the title page to state that this is the same date but the preface to the second edition is printed on the back of the page bearing the preface to the first and this is dated 1849. One assumes that the remainder of the text is the same as the earlier edition. An advertisement for other books by the same publisher has been pasted onto the page prior to the title page. Some damp stains to opening and closing pages, not affecting main text. Binding tight.
