Rutledge was South Carolina's first poet laureate, a position he held until his death in 1973. Previous owner's name, I.B. Cauthen, Jr. who was a past president of The Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia were he was also a professor. Reviewer's copy written in rear gutter.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall .
