FIRST EDITION The Tramps in Kan-Su, Tibet, the wilds of up-country Burma, Lan-chow, Sining-Fu, lower China, the Alps, Tien Tang, on to Chebson, and return down the trail. The author died in his beloved wilds of Upper Burma in 1920, during the course of his last adventurous journey. It is his most interesting narrative. With a marvelous sense of English humour, we wind our way along his path, with an over-the-shoulder view of Farrer on trek to some of the more inaccessable high places of the world. Visiting the likes of Wolfstone Dene & Da-Tung-Hor in the Tibetan Alps. A wonderful autobiograph- ical and botanical work, showing the author's incredible stamina and brilliance for locating and retrieving yet un- cataloged botanicals. Also covering the S.W. corner of Kansu province in 1915. He died in Burma in 1920. A great work ! .
