Sobre este artículo

Philadelphia: Tract Association of Friends, 1890. Pamphlet. Very Good. 8 p.; 18 cm. Pamphlet without wrapper. Caption title. No publication information, but "TAF" above title. This is the emblem used by the Tract Association of Friends, established in Philadelphia in 1816. Although this tract was also issued by other tract societies, "No. 102" at the lower edge of the first page identifies it as part of the Tract Association of Friends' series. Presents the life of Ralph Dixon (d. 1854), who was apprenticed to a shoemaker in England and later enlisted in the 31st regiment of foot and was sent to Ireland where he was injured at the Battle of Talavera. After returning home, he joined the Society of Friends, after which he could no longer take the oath required to receive his army pension. In spite of the hardships he experienced, he became "remarkably calm and peaceful." In Very Good Condition: lower corners lightly creased; light stain along part of spine; otherwise clean and bright. Scarce.
