Sobre este artículo
New York: Camera Club of New York, 1898. Published in Camera Notes, volume 2, number 2 (October 1898). Printed as a photogravure by the Photochrome Engraving Company, a company that Alfred Stieglitz had founded. Image size is 7 1/2 inches by 5 5/8 inches. Printed only for members of the Camera Club of New York, the edition size was no more than 300, and far fewer than that have survived. Rudolf Eickemeyer, Jr. (1862-1952) was one of the most important pictorialist photographers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Along with his fellow New Yorker Alfred Stieglitz, he was one of the first Americans admitted to membership in the prestigious British society of pictorialist photographers, the Linking Ring. The "ranchman" in the image is not identified, but Eickemeyer did make several trips to the American west, and I suspect he found his subject on one of those trips. The photogravure is in excellent condition: a superb impression that is in virtually as-new condition. Now archivally matted in an off-white passe-partout.. First Edition. Paper. Collectible-Fine. Illus. by Rudolf Eickemeyer, Jr.. 7 1/2" X 5 5/8. Photo.
