Scarce in any early edition. Filmed by Michael Powell in 1932, but now believed lost. Shows some edgewear, nick/tear to rear hinge, pencil name inside front cover, ink name & date on free endsheet, page edges foxed/spotted, minor foxing to pages; no jacket. Text clean; vii, blank, 306 pages + 5 pages publisher's ads.. Second Printing. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Octavo.
Sinopsis
The Rasp is a whodunit mystery novel, written by Philip MacDonald and set at a country house in rural England. It introduces the series character Colonel Anthony Gethryn, an ex-secret agent who works to solve the murder of cabinet minister John Hoode, who is bludgeoned to death a woodworkers rasp.
