Basis for the 1932 short film directed by Michael Powell and starring Claude Horton as Gethryn. Red boards with bright gilt print show one small drip mark at the lower rear board. Pages lightly tanned with just a bit of foxing to the edges of the text block and end papers. Jacket gently rubbed with a 1" tear at the lower rear flap fold, in mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good.
Sinopsis
The Rasp is a whodunit mystery novel, written by Philip MacDonald and set at a country house in rural England. It introduces the series character Colonel Anthony Gethryn, an ex-secret agent who works to solve the murder of cabinet minister John Hoode, who is bludgeoned to death a woodworkers rasp.
