London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1932. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Cecil Aldin. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. DJ is in poor shape and is in several pieces. The jacket has been placed in a mylar sleeve for protection after photos were taken. Original price of $3.50 is still present on the front flap. Black cloth boards underneath show edge and corner bumps. Front board has a small hole to the cloth at the hinge area, just to the left of the author's name. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight, no hinge issues present. Front pastedown contains a bookplate from Justin Dempster Lees. No handwriting or other markings found. Pages are toned due to age and there is some light spotting and foxing. Also found between the pages was a small print showing writers and dogs foxhunting. This print stays with the book. Copyright page states second edition.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.
Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. The software spells words by phonetics and can make errors that I may not catch.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
