Fine/As New black cloth-bound hardcover with embossed image of a raven to the front, a light blunting to the tips, in the original glassine dj, contained in the publisher's card slipcase with printed label, also Fine with light blunting to two corners. Fukase's legendary and melancholy masterpiece, selected by a panel of experts in 2010 as the best photobook of the past 25 years. Also, Fukase's last monograph; he fell into a coma in 1992 after suffering a brain injury and died in 2012. Quarto. 131 (1)pp. Original black cloth, image of raven blind-stamped to both boards, lettering blind-stamped to spine, in original glassine dustjacket, protected by modern mylar, in tan slipcase with black lettering on cream label, protected by modern mylar. Designed by Kazuyuki Goto. Fukase's masterpiece is considered to be one of the greatest modern photobooks. Parr & Badger Vol. I, page 306. Heiting, page 31. This copy was owned by Anne Tucker, longtime photo curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, signed "A. Tucker" on glassine flap. Glassine jacket with light wear along top and bottom edge and lightly rippled. Else in fine condition.
