Sobre este artículo
New York / Boston: Raymond & Whitcomb Co, 1926. Pamphlet. A 9x8 inch printed and folded vertically to present wide and narrow textblocks depending on topic - ergo, item in hand measures 9x4 inches. Illustrated with four simple route maps and two pages of diagrammed Pullman car layouts. Covers are mildly soiled with handling, expect rusted staples, tiny chips, and short partings at foldlines, a mostly good copy with one bad flaw: p.7, which is printed with a "Summarized Schedule of Rates", bears a paper strip that is adhered to and hides these "Rates"; we cannot tell if this was a purposeful amendment. The strip is torn, but rates remain hidden. As is, quite informative as regards side trips. "The unrelieved tedium of the regulation five-day trans-Continental trip is avoided. Instead are seven days of entertainment and confort - on a train unsurpassed for luxurious and novel equipment [featuring automobile side trips at big stopovers]. Every Wednesday from January 5 to April 6 a Raymond-Whitcomb Land Cruise will leave the East, reaching Los Angeles the following Wednesday" Return Land Cruises depart every Thursday from LA. Weekly excursions to Hawaii are scheduled also.
