The text is illustrated with copious black and white photographs, battle plans and maps. 1/4 green vinyl spine with gilt decoration and 3/4 photographic board of men fighting in tropical island setting, with gilt writing embossed on the front panel and gilt writing on the spine. Photographic dustwrapper, showing soldiers 'going over the top' with a red wash overlay and black insert with white writing on the front panel and spine. Dustwrapper is very rubbed, creased and faded. Spine is particularly sunned. Chipping to the corners of the dustwrapper.
