Sobre este artículo
The First UK Printing published by John Long Ltd (UK) in 1911. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. Some pushing at the spine ends with some light toning and spotting to the text block. Mild offsetting to the end papers. The occasional spotting to the page edges. The gilt titling and period decoration to the front cover remains very bright. Free from inscriptions. The fragile WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good+ condition. A large closed tear to the front upper spine fold with loss at the upper spine (see images) and a smaller closed tear to the upper spine. Some nicks and rubbing along the edges with some further small loss to the upper rear edge. Toning to the spine, edges and folds. The wrapper still presents very well despite its faults, in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book has the cut signature of the author affixed to the title page. A very scarce title in the original wrapper. Violet Tweedale was a prolific writer of short stories, published as anthologies, and novels, often with a romantic or supernatural theme. She was a member of 'The Order of the Golden Dawn' which was an organisation devoted to the study and practice of the occult, metaphysics, and paranormal activities during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Collectible with such attributes. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
