William O'Brien (1852-1928), an Irish nationalist, land reformer, journalist, and social revolutionary, a friend of Parnell, whose imprisonment in 1881 also led to a long career as a Member of Parliament. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First Edition. Green cloth binding with black lettering on the spine. Clean text; 518 pages, indexed; one page additional, publisher's advert in rear. Spine has darkened. Rubbed at margins. In basically solund condityion, but feels a bit shaken. An important source for Irish politics of the era. . First Edition.. Hard Cover.
