Williams and Norgate, 1910. 317 pp, green cloth covered boards with gilt title, sun darkened to the spine. Sepia illustrations, including a tipped in frontispiece photograph of the author. Damp mark to the top of the inner boards, otherwise internally clean. Lucy Bethia Walford, nee Colquohoun 1845 - 1915 wrote more than 45 best selling novels and stories, and is said to have been Queen Victoria's favourite novelist. Her recollections include growing up in Scotland, Edinburgh society in the 1850s etc.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
