Leo Villa (1899-1979), racing mechanic for Malcolm and later Donald Campbell's record attempts. Well illustrated throughout with many photographs taken from the author's private collection.
Hardback in a price-clipped dustwrapper. 160pp including b/w illustrations. Size: 11.25 x 8.5 inches approx. (285mm x 214mm).
Dustwrapper lightly rubbed and worn to extremities with the occasional short edge tear; title lettering to spine a little sunned/faded; some light age-toning and foxing/spotting visible to verso. Boards a touch knocked to lower corners and spine ends a touch knocked, otherwise covers clean and bright. Pages a touch dusty in places and edges of page-block a little age-toned and spotted.
Overall, showing light wear commensurate with age but otherwise a particularly nice example - getting uncommon to find now in such nice condition.
