Brown cloth-covered boards, gilt spine lettering (bright), gilt front board decoration (Ursa Major; bright), 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches, 284 pp. including glossary/index, 83 illustrations and maps of stars (frontispiece and 82 figures), a color plate of spectra (with a laid in tissue guard) and "maps to find the stars at the end". Near fine (slight edgewear/rubbing; mildly bumped corners; pages clean and binding tight and square). Scarce first edition in this condition. (K086). 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket.
