All text in French. Presents math and science problems to challenge and amuse the reader, first published in the late 17th century in four volumes. I don't know whether the present set is complete at 2 volumes. See DSB X, 264.Condition of these books:Boards heavily worn, joints cracked.Leaves clean and tight, no foxing, plates fine. Size: Octavo (standard book size). 2-volume set (complete). Text is in French. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
