While the limitation page states 699 copies were issued, this is one of an additional estimated 52 copies that were lettered. Tipped in on the front free end paper is an address label from McIntosh & Otis, Steinbeck's literary agency; though unmarked, this copy is from the estate of Eugene Winick, former president of the agency. Near Fine, with uneven toning to cloth. In a Poor, matching lettered slip case, which is fragile and incomplete, lacking the top and bottom panel.
Sinopsis
"The Red Pony" is an episodic novella written by American writer John Steinbeck in 1933. The first three chapters were published in magazines from 1933–1936, and the full book was published in 1937 by Viking Penguin. The stories in the book are tales of a boy named Jody Tiflin. The book has four different stories about Jody and his life on his father's California ranch.
