This is a stapled booklet with light tan paper covers, pages printed on coated paper, reprinted from The Scientific Monthly, Vol. LXIV, No. 1, January, 1947. . "Cup Butte ... Is one of the most nearly perfect known examples of a looped bar." Supposedly located in Utah in the Salt Lake Desert, it was described by G. K. Gilbert in 1890. This article describes the author's search for Cup Butte and what he found. Illustrated with drawings, maps, and photos. The geology of Cup Butte is described in detail. . 8vo - 8" to 9" tall. 8 pages. L6 .
