This work discusses and illustrates nearly 500 fish drawings made by Chinese artists from 1828-1830. All illustrations are very detailed and accurate; nearly fourty of them have been the basis of new species descriptions. This work contains a complete list and a review of the Reeves collection history. The colour plates are excellent and it is a pity that not all are in full colour. A very good clean copy.
