Includes discussion of population shifts, migration of industry, water supply and health, housing (including defense housing), recreation, government, Technological developments, regional planing, and certain infrastructure issues such as zoning and land utilization, highlway planning, public relief, school facilities, and hospitals. A great snapshot of an American city on the eve of an industrial expansion.
