Sobre este artículo
La Habana: Editorial Libreria Selecta, 1948. First Edition. HB. Full tan leather, gilt lettering on red title labels on spine with 3 raised bands, 8vo, 902 pp. plus 13 unnumbered pages containing 22 plates of maps and photographs. First edition, limited to 500 copies, of this classic work by Castellanos Garcia (1879-1956), Cuban historian. "Through a detailed description...the author reflects the historical events of Guanabacoa, from its beginnings in the 16th century to the 1940s. For this, he relied on his personal experiences and a wide bibliography of books published, unpublished, magazines, documents from the National Archive of Cuba, private archives, as well as his valuable personal library. This volume consists of twenty chapters, twenty-two photographic images that show: plans, sites, monuments, personalities of the Guanabacoa Villa and a caricature of the author, in addition to the literal transcription of the Royal Certificate of the Villa title granted to Guanabacoa by King Felipe V of Spain in 1743." EcuRed. No marks in book, binding tight. Light foxing first few pages. Many pages unopened. Front cover shows light red staining in a few places. Book condition VG+. Uncommon title, text in Spanish.
